Kunming Fanbi E-commerce Co., Ltd., a company registered and operating in Kunming, China, respects the privacy of every person who visits this website, writes to the bench or engages our computer integrated systems design services. FanBi Digital is the developer name under which this site and its supporting tooling were built, and that name appears throughout the studio records kept by the company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we handle it, who we share it with and what rights you hold over it.
We wrote this policy in plain language on purpose. Our bench room runs on written run sheets and open ledgers, and we believe that a privacy document should read the same way: clear statements, named responsibilities and no hidden corners. If any part of this policy is unclear, write to us at sales@fanbidigital.autos and we will explain it in writing.
The company address is Unit 2, Room 705, Building 3, Zhicheng Homeland, Fengning Subdistrict, Wuhua District, Kunming - 650000, China (CN). The company telephone number is +14064455173. 1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers the website at fanbidigital.autos and every page served from that domain, including the homepage, the services page, the contact page, this privacy page and the terms page. It also covers the email, telephone and written communications that take place between you and the bench as a result of visiting the site or engaging our services.
The policy does not cover the internal systems that clients operate on their own infrastructure, even where our crew helped to design those systems. Once a round on the bench is closed and handed over, the data inside the client estate belongs to the client and is governed by the client privacy notices. We do not gain access to client production data as part of ordinary design work, and where a balance run requires a copy of such data we insist on a written agreement that limits what we may see and how long we may keep it.
Where a partner or supplier processes information for us, that partner is bound by a separate written agreement. This policy describes our own conduct and the conduct we require of our suppliers, but it does not replace the privacy notices of any other organization.
2. Who we are
Kunming Fanbi E-commerce Co., Ltd. is a company working in computer integrated systems design and related professional, scientific and technical services. The company operates from a bench room at Unit 2, Room 705, Building 3, Zhicheng Homeland, Fengning Subdistrict, Wuhua District, Kunming - 650000, China (CN). For the purposes of applicable data protection law, the company is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
The company is reachable by email at sales@fanbidigital.autos and by telephone at +14064455173. Written correspondence may be sent to the address above. We ask that privacy requests be marked clearly so that the bench lead can route them to the correct record on the first working day.
We keep one responsible person for data protection questions at any given time. That person is named in our internal run ledger and can be reached through the contact details above. Where a request is complex, that person will confirm the route and the expected reply date in writing.
3. Information you give us
We collect information that you choose to provide. The largest source is the contact form on this site, which asks for your name, your email address, an optional subject line and your message. The form does not store anything on our servers. When you press the send button, your own email program opens with a message addressed to sales@fanbidigital.autos, and the information reaches us only when you decide to send that email.
Other information you may give us includes the details in an email or a telephone call, the material you share during a scoping call, the documents you provide for a blade set desk, and the names of the people who will attend a bench session. If you ask us to reply by telephone, we will record the number you give us so that the reply can be made.
Where an engagement requires it, we may ask for billing details such as a company name, a registered address, a contact person and a tax reference. We collect only the fields needed to issue a correct invoice and to maintain the accounting records the law requires.
You are never obliged to provide information that is not needed for the purpose at hand. If a field on a form is optional, leaving it blank has no effect on your ability to contact us or to receive a reply.
4. Information collected automatically
When you load a page from this site, the web server records ordinary technical information in its access log. This typically includes the requested page, the date and time of the request, the response code, the size of the response, the referring page where one is sent, and the browser and operating system identifiers that your browser announces. The log also records the network address from which the request arrived.
We use access logs to keep the site available, to diagnose faults, to detect abusive traffic and to understand in aggregate which pages are read. The logs are not used to build a profile of an individual visitor, and we do not combine them with the information you provide through the contact form.
The site itself is built as plain pages with one stylesheet and one script. That script handles the mobile menu, the scroll reveal and the contact form behaviour. It does not set tracking cookies, does not call an advertising network and does not send page content to any third party.
5. Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from a colleague who introduces your company to the bench, from a partner who refers an engagement, or from a public source such as a company register when we need to confirm a legal name for an invoice. Where we receive personal information from a third party, we treat it in the same way as information you give us directly, and we will tell you the source if you ask.
If a client supplies us with the name and email address of an employee who will attend a session, we rely on the client to have a lawful basis for sharing that information with us. We use it only to arrange and run the session and to record attendance in the run ledger.
We do not buy contact lists, we do not scrape personal profiles from social networks, and we do not accept marketing databases as a source of client contact information.
6. Why we process information
We process personal information for a small set of connected purposes. The first is to answer enquiries and to discuss whether the bench is a good fit for the work you have in mind. The second is to prepare, run and close engagements, including scoping, scheduling, invoicing and handover. The third is to keep the bench records that let us return to a system months later and know exactly what was seated, replaced and checked.
We also process information to keep the site secure, to defend against misuse and to meet our own accounting and legal obligations. Finally, we process information to improve how the bench works, for example by reviewing how long a round takes so that future estimates are more accurate.
We do not use personal information for automated profiling, we do not sell it, and we do not rent it to any other party. We do not send marketing email to people who have only written a single enquiry, and where we do share occasional studio news we always offer a plain way to stop receiving it.
7. Legal bases for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one of the following. The first is performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract is formed, for example when we scope a blade set desk after you ask us to. The second is compliance with a legal obligation, for example the duty to keep accounting records for the period set by law.
The third is our legitimate interest in running a careful design bench, which covers answering enquiries, keeping secure logs and improving estimates. We weigh that interest against your rights and we keep the scope of the processing narrow. The fourth is consent, which we rely on for any optional communication such as studio news; you may withdraw consent at any time by writing to the address above.
Where the processing involves sensitive categories of information, we do not seek it and we ask that you do not send it through the contact form. If a session requires access to sensitive material, we will discuss a separate written arrangement before any access is granted.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not set advertising cookies and does not run an analytics platform. The pages are served as they are written, and the only script on the site is our own small file that runs the menu, the reveal effect and the contact form. That script keeps its state in memory for the life of the page and writes nothing to persistent storage.
If you use a browser that stores data locally for caching, the browser may keep a copy of a stylesheet or script file to load the page faster next time. That behaviour is controlled by your browser settings, not by us, and it can be cleared at any time through the browser privacy controls.
We may in future add a simple visitor measure that does not identify individuals. If we do, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and the section will name the tool, its purpose and the way to opt out.
9. How we use enquiry information
When you write to the bench, we read the message, decide who should reply and use your contact details to send that reply. We keep the correspondence in a mail folder linked to the company records so that a later session can be traced back to the original request. Enquiry records are kept only as long as they serve that purpose, unless the enquiry turns into an engagement, in which case the relevant details move into the project file.
We will not add you to a mailing list without asking, we will not pass your details to a sales partner, and we will not use the content of your enquiry to contact other people at your company unless you ask us to.
Where an enquiry contains material that you would rather we did not keep, tell us in the message and we will delete the material once we have answered. We may keep a short note recording that an enquiry was received and answered, because that note is part of the bench history.
10. How we use client project records
Engagements produce written records: the seated module list, the ledger fan rounds, the draft sheet, the swap sheet, the balance run report and the wiring diagram revisions. These records name the systems in scope, the bench crew who worked on them and the client contacts who attended. They are kept on the bench network and in a printed run ledger, and they are used to run the engagement and to support later rounds.
Project records may contain personal information in a narrow sense, for example the name of an engineer who approved a swap. We keep such names because the handover value of a record depends on knowing who agreed to what. We do not use project records for marketing, and we will not show them to another client.
When an engagement closes, the client receives a copy of the fan sheet and the handover note. The bench keeps its own copy for the retention period described below so that a later question can be answered from evidence rather than memory.
11. Sharing with service providers
We share information with a small number of service providers who help us run the company. These include the hosting provider that serves the site, the provider of the company mail service, the accounting firm that prepares our records and, where relevant, a courier for physical documents. Each provider receives only the information needed for its function.
We require providers to protect the information, to use it only for the agreed purpose and to delete it when the contract ends. We do not authorize any provider to use client information for its own marketing or to combine it with data from other customers.
If a provider is replaced, we ask the outgoing provider to return or delete the information it holds and we confirm the transfer to the new provider in writing. The bench keeps a short register of providers so that the list can be reviewed at least once a year.
12. Disclosure required by law
We may disclose information where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid order from a competent authority, a subpoena or a legal process that compels production. Before we disclose, we check that the demand is valid and that the scope is proportionate, and we tell the affected person where the law allows.
We may also disclose information to establish or defend a legal claim, to protect the rights and safety of the company or of a client, or during a corporate reorganization in which records pass to a successor entity under the same protections described here.
If a disclosure would involve a large set of personal records, the bench lead records the reason in the run ledger and reviews the decision with the data protection contact before the disclosure is made.
13. International transfers
Our bench is in Kunming, China, and our main records sit on infrastructure in China. Some service providers, including mail and hosting providers, may process information in other countries. Where information leaves China, we take the steps required by applicable law, which may include a written transfer agreement, a review of the provider security practices and a record of the transfer in our register.
Clients outside China should understand that their enquiry and project details may be handled by our crew in Kunming. We keep the transfer narrow, and we do not move client records to a new location without a written notice to the client contacts who would be affected.
If you would like to know which countries are involved for a particular engagement, write to sales@fanbidigital.autos and we will answer in writing.
14. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to twenty-four months after the last message, unless the enquiry becomes an engagement. Accounting records are kept for the period required by Chinese accounting and tax law, which may be several years after the end of the relevant financial year.
Project records are kept for six years after the engagement closes so that a later question about a swap, a balance run or a wiring check can be answered from the evidence. Access logs on the web server are kept for a short rolling period, usually no more than ninety days, and are then deleted or overwritten.
Where information is no longer needed, we delete it from active systems and remove it from backup copies within the normal backup rotation. If a legal hold is in force, the relevant records are preserved until the hold is lifted, and then the ordinary retention rules apply again.
15. How we protect information
We protect information with a mixture of physical and technical measures. The bench room is access controlled, the printed run ledgers are stored in a locked cabinet at the end of each day, and the network is segmented so that the client records are not reachable from the guest side of the room.
Accounts use strong passwords and second factors, and access to project records is limited to the crew who work on the engagement. Workstations are patched on a regular cycle, and removable media is scanned before use. We test our own backups by restoring files rather than by trusting a status light.
If a security incident affects personal information, the bench lead will investigate, contain the issue and notify affected people and the competent authority where the law requires. We would rather report an incident early and plainly than wait for certainty about its full extent.
16. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct information that is inaccurate, to have information deleted, to restrict how it is used, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise a right, write to sales@fanbidigital.autos with enough detail for us to locate the relevant records. We will confirm receipt, verify your identity in a proportionate way and answer within the period set by law, usually one month. If a request is complex, we will explain the reason for any delay and keep you informed.
You may also complain to the competent data protection authority in your country. We would prefer the chance to fix a problem directly first, and we ask that you write to us before escalating, though your right to complain is not affected by doing so.
17. Privacy for children
This site and the bench services are intended for businesses and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under the age of sixteen, and we do not design any part of the site to appeal to children. The contact form asks for professional details and is not directed at minors.
If you believe that a child has sent personal information to the bench, write to sales@fanbidigital.autos and we will delete the information promptly. Where an engagement legitimately involves records that relate to minors, for example in an education or care project, the client is responsible for the lawful basis of that processing and we will handle the records only under a written arrangement.
The bench does not use advertising networks, so no child-directed advertising data is collected through this site.
18. Links to other websites
This site may link to a partner, a reference or a tool that is hosted outside our domain. Those pages are governed by their own privacy notices, and we have no control over the way they handle personal information. We recommend reading the privacy notice of any site before you submit personal details to it.
Where we link to a document hosted elsewhere, the link is provided for convenience and does not mean that we endorse the practices of that host. If a linked page becomes unreliable or changes character, write to us and we will review the link.
Our footer links back to the homepage and to our own legal pages, and those pages stay within this domain and are covered by this policy.
19. Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals. The work of the bench is carried out by people, and the run sheets are written by the crew who did the work.
Our website script performs small automatic tasks such as revealing a section as it scrolls into view or expanding a question in the contact page list. Those tasks do not involve personal information and do not profile a visitor.
If a future change introduces automation that affects how an enquiry or a client is treated, this policy will be updated before the change and you will be told how to request a human review.
20. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever the way we handle information changes. The date at the top of the page records the last revision, and a short note of what changed is kept in the bench run ledger.
If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you in writing before the change takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent again.
Continuing to use the site after a revision means that the revised policy applies to your use from that date. We recommend checking this page when you return to the site, since the date at the top is the quickest way to see whether anything has changed.
21. How to contact us
For any question about this policy or about the information we hold, write to Kunming Fanbi E-commerce Co., Ltd. by email at sales@fanbidigital.autos, by telephone at +14064455173, or by post at Unit 2, Room 705, Building 3, Zhicheng Homeland, Fengning Subdistrict, Wuhua District, Kunming - 650000, China (CN).
Please mark privacy requests clearly in the subject line so that the bench lead can route them to the data protection contact on the first working day. We will acknowledge every request and tell you who is handling it.
This policy is written in English. If a translation is provided for convenience, the English text remains the reference version where there is any conflict. Thank you for reading it, and for trusting the bench with your enquiry.
